July was also a transitional month. It started by moving out of a two-bedroom apartment into a studio apartment closer to Cal Poly and Cuesta. Most of my time was spent on macroeconomics and ceramics because a whole semester began my summer schedule.
One activity was notable in July. I learned to play golf. Since, having held a golf club only at miniature golf, it was frustrating and yet fun at the same time. As a beginner, a great place to play in the SLO area is Sea Pines. This is a nine-hole golf course in a spectacular setting of the southern tip of Morro Bay better known as Los Osos.
One event was lots of fun. Friends came from Simi Valley to be in the Renaissance Fair. They brought their horses for jousting and their bows and arrows for archery. I got the "first class" tour treatment.
